Aaron Byrne's the opposition
Aaron Byrne was back to winning ways yesterday by claiming the event 4 title. 75 entrants made their way to the qball despite the changeable weather. the 11am draw saw early big name casualties when Chris Heim,Micky Turner & Paul stel all failed to make it past the 1st round. However one player was cruising through the morning draw with relative ease as Mark Smith brushed aside Duane pow,dave Langham & Stephen yard before beating dave McKenzie on the semi finals with an impressive 5-1 scoreline. the afternoon draw saw more big names fall early as Jordan Sillett & Liam Wilson both failed to make it into the money stages. aaron Byrne was riding his luck in the early rounds with 5-4 results against Chris noon,Phil lock, & Dave MacPherson before another tight semi final win against Ajay Gohil. the final was a tense affair but aaron was always in control and despite a late rally from Mark Smith Aaron held his nerve to finish the night with his most comfortable scoreline of the day 5-3. so well done again for all the efforts of the players and also the staff and management of the qball. However plans are in place for no less than 18 comps for 2019!! onwards and upwards!!!
